RAAL Mobility Overview
RAAL Mobility IS THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE UNIT OF RAAL, A ROMANIAN-OWNED MIDCAP FIRM THAT IS IN THE TOP 5 OF DOMESTICALLY-OWNED EXPORTERS AND EMPLOTS 1,800 WORKERS. FOR NEARLY HALF A CENTURY, RAAL SET THE STANDARDS OF QUALITY AND INNOVATION IN COMPLETE COOLING SYSTEMS AND HEAT EXCHANGERS IN EAST-CENTRAL EUROPE.
Today, RAAL is a global player in global value chains. Effectively, our entire production of cooling systems is exported to global automotive champions such as INSERT TOP 5 BEST KNOWN FIRMS. As things stand, RAAL has a network of its own dealers in Germany, Italy, Holland and Russia and has several registered patents for products that form the backbone of its export profile.
Recently, we have entered the electric vehicle market and are considering building a new plant in Bistrita (RAAL mobility) that could manufacture electric car battery coolers under our own label. To do this, we build on our experience of having the largest R&D division among Romanian owned manufacturing firms and launch RAAL Mobility Labs, a new R&D unit tailored to the specific needs of the electric vehicle market. The research required by the electro mobility task is already far along the way in our existing R&D facilities.
RAAL’s continuous investment strategy paid off in terms of output growth. Our company recorded an increase in production value from almost EUR 52m in 2016 to EUR 58m in 2017 and EUR 68m in 2018. The compound annual growth rate grew by 11% in the past 5 years and as a result of the effects of continuous and massive investment, the firm can meeting the market demand, bringing large returns on investment.
In Romania, RAAL’s corporate headquarters and original 12,500 square meter plant are in Bistrita while its state-of -the art 12.500 mp Prundu Bargaului plant built in 2007 is extensively automated, with the latest generation of robotics technology delivering near zero fail rate in its production process.
